Since I'm so uninspired by art, I decided to make something based off one of the most boring art style ever. Certainly, the art of the time was exquisite--beautiful; certainly there were artists of note; certainly, it was a movement that forever changed the face of art; and yet, the art of the era fails to woo me in.
Granted, idealized romanticized
anything more often than not fails to capture my attention--unless they happen to be intimidating sculptures ogling you from majesties above--THEN classic art is riveting. Yes, the art movement of the Renaissance...
Pft. Naah, I'm just toying with you. I'm no art history freak. I really don't know. The painting's actually a baroque painting, not Renaissance. In general though, art from the Renaissance to the Classicist period is just not to my tastes. Again, minus sculptures of the time, but honestly, I prefer the finely sculpted patterns of the baroque era. Whatever you naysayers. Oh, and dare I say I
like modern art? Postmodern art not so much. BLAHBLAHBLAHBLAHGUFFAW.
Back to this piece of work which I've bloated beyond proportion with an out of place overly dramatic introduction--it's nowhere near done even--WELL! It's a WIP (more like my digital workspace actually...) and it is not worth any hype whatsoever. Nonetheless, I'm posting it since I'm using it as an attempt to
destresslol get myself drawing again. Such a landmark (not). At least you get to admire their baldness. And nakedness,
naughty naughty (no it is not naughty I swear/am sorry but I can't help myself sometimes please excuse my oddities).
( Cut the crap and get on with it. )But my "few", if you were kind enough to give it to me, is not yet over. Because
Sherlock 2010 and my quickly dwindling stock of Agatha Christie books are
glorious.
And TIME!
