Nov. 15th, 2008 11:43 amTHERE IS TOO MUCH SOOT AND ASH AND SMOKE AROUND HERE.
AGH. MY LUNGS.
I had some temporary relief when I headed over to my violin lessons! Then I went back home to Northridge, and and and.
GAH.
IT KINDA SMELLS LIKE THE PHILIPPINES. You know. The area in the Philippines that's dirty and difficult to breathe in because something mysterious is being burned. When I woke up this morning, I was like, "It sure smells like the Philippines!" D| And then I went outside and I was all: "OH." *cough cough* Then I left for mah lessons. When I came back from the lessons I was all: "AGH IT IS GRAYER AND FOGGIER-LOOKING AND AND MY LUNGS."
The smell has somehow creeped into our bathroom.

Nov. 10th, 2008 10:24 pmThe basics of the violin seem easier to me than piano basics. I had so much difficulty playing on both hands even if there was a repetitive pattern on the left hand. Once I go further down the fingerboard of the violin, I'm sure I'll think the piano was easier, but I still hope I'll stick to it. Yeah, I totally didn't do my homework today.
The violin is a very good way to get your arms tired (or that's just me)! Now that my left arm is tired, my right arm can draw!
I'm feeling bad for taking these lessons though. My mom started complaining to me about the economic problem especially since WaMu crashed. Well, sure, she started complaining to me after I threatened to buy a jar of jam that wasn't on sale, but I am able to feel guilty really easily. She seems to only complain to me about the money stuff, too, as if I'm unaware of it. I feel like such a burden and that I'm asking way too much of them. I really wish I had time for a job. I would gladly pay for my own lessons if I could.

Oct. 29th, 2008 06:28 pmI......feel like I have no energy at all. D| Precal test on Friday on a chapter I'm having difficulty with, but HOH, nine chapter tests on both Thursday and Friday as well as a presentation that was due this Monday that I haven't started on and a bunch of busy crap homework teachers give for the sake of giving--WHERE DO PEOPLE FIND THE TIME. TDT

Oct. 28th, 2008 11:43 pmI watched Clannad ~After Story~ 4. I had a good cry....although I was part laughing and crying at the same time. I love Youhei's character, so I was really happy to see him fleshed out in these eps. I don't know why people find him annoying. I think he makes good comic relief (I find myself feeling sorry for him about 80% of the time). I love this series. I got bored of Air, but this...is just awesome. Some arcs are a bit over the top with drama, but I like it's more realistic drama compared to other shows with a bagillion girls and one or two guys. Thank God Nagisa is actually really cute, and while she has many elements of I-am-trying-to-be-a-perfect-girl, she's not annoying at all even if she's a bit naive at times (I think). I'm also happy that Tomoya is not out having a harem. |D I find Clannad pretty cathartic, and I feel less stressed out after watching it. I don't think I'd be able to watch it straight, but it's a good series. It's not as good as Honey and Clover, but it's pretty up there. I love character development. <3 I think I'm a lot less nitpicky when it comes to slice-of-life-ish stories than I am with other genres.

But. The dramatic irony in Oedipus Rex is downright hilarious.
Your result for What Your Taste in Art Says About You Test...
Extroverted, Progressive, and Intelligent

Cubism was a 20th century avant-garde movement, pioneered by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque. It revolutionized European art and inspired changes in music and literature. The first branch of cubism, known as Analytic Cubism. It was both radical and influential as a short but highly significant art movement between 1908 and 1911 mainly in France. In its second phase, Synthetic Cubism, (using synthetic materials in the art) the movement spread and remained vital until around 1919.
People that chose Cubist paintings as their favorite art form tend to be very individualized people. They are more extroverted and less afraid of speaking their opinions then other people. They tend to be progressive and are very forward thinking. As the cubist painting is like looking into a shattered mirror where you can see different angles of the images, the people that prefer these paintings like looking at all angles of a problem. These people are intelligent and they are the transformers of our generation. They look beyond what is seen into what things could become. They are ready to leave the ideas of the past behind and look at what the future has to offer.

.....extroverted, really? XD;;; I'm pretty sure I'm introverted (otherwise I wouldn't be so socially reclusive even in my own home). I didn't know I liked abstract so much 'til now. They make me think....and I like that a lot. It's like literature without words; there's so much more to it than just an image. Not that I do abstract all that often, but I do like putting symbolism into my pieces. I'm....not THAT forward with my ideas, am I?....I like abstract because it makes me think....to myself. =w=; Changing ideas is what makes history attractive o me though.......and I guess I'm trying to break out of my formerly conservative shell.....but I still don't think I'm much of an extrovert. XD; Everything but that fits, I guess.

Oct. 25th, 2008 07:02 pm.......Screw Perfect Prosecutor! I want more Apollo!! DX.......although I'd still probably Perfect Prosecutor. My only complaint is the same as my sister's: I NEED MORE APOLLO AND LESS SIDE CHARACTERS. D: I'm abusing my handheld (i.e. my DS) right now, since I don't have time to go for those looong RPGs I used to play. I still would, if, again, I had time.
I don't know why people have such a problem with Apollo or Trucy. They're downright amazing!....and the Perceive system is really fun!....hahaha, Trucy...."true see".....it took me so long to figure that one out. orz; APOLLOOOO. <333 I have a bagillion tests this week, and the time I have to practice violin, etc. is going dooown the drain. ):| I made some AJ comic sketches though!...unfortunately, they have case 4-4 spoilers. MAJOR spoilers. But when I choose what style I want to draw them in, and what kind of comic-paneling style to use, I'll get to them! AJ...TOO. AMAZING. Never got annoyed at some pointless case (even if there was one) or the characters (except maybe their appearance...but that was the point, I'm pretty sure).
AA5 and PL2 are the two games I'm looking forward to most, DS-wise.
.............I.....want to see a magic show now. TRUCY LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE. *SOB*

Oct. 22nd, 2008 08:46 pmEDIT: DOES THAT MEAN I STUDIED MUCH? OF COURSE NOT. I...still have no idea what the heck this quiz is about. Graphs and functions. I'd love this so much more if we took the graphs part out, eww. Oh hey, there's that paper assigned a month ago that's due this Friday, hahahaha........have I typed any of it? NO. There has to be something that can energize me to work. DX

Oct. 16th, 2008 08:00 pmWRONG. Shall I tell you about how High School Musical 3 has ruined my day? My brother and sister both attend USC, so after my dad picked me up, we went to fetch those two. UNFORTUNATELY, HSM3 was out to show-off their stupid first premiere! What does hat equal? TRAFFIC. Oh, not to mention that my brother had a much longer lab (or test?) than he thought. It was about six by the time we left USC. So much for plans. So here I was expecting to be home by 6:30. NOPE. Insane traffic on the freeway too. So much so that we decided to have fast-food for dinner and see if we could wait the traffic out. DOUBLE NOPE. Hahaha, insane traffic once again. Time I arrived home?
8:00. I have not started my homework yet.

Oct. 13th, 2008 10:21 pmI...just did the practice for the PSAT (which is practice for the SAT, blah blah)....and wow. I...sucked really...badly. Uhh...this is worrying me now. T_T; Even when I feel confident I did well, I...don't. I screw myself over....I got waay below average grades. Errr.....gee, I thought I did well doing it too. I guess hopes of doing well are gonna go down the drain. TDT
Oh, oh oh. Our A.P. Bio teacher told us the origin of the word "shit"!
Lesse. So the reason came from back in our early shipping days (it was either the Renaissance or the Middle Ages....leaning more to Renaissance, but I remember his saying Middle Ages...ANYHOW. THAT ERA.) They used to pack a whole lot of manure on those ships. When salt water came in contact with the poop, a whole lot of methane formed; so if an unfortunate young man came walking along pipe in hand, and decided to take a light--
BOOM. DEAD. KABLOOEY.
As a result, the bags of manure were labeled with the beautiful word that is "shit". It's actually an acronym for "ship high in transit". Keep those bags high up before the methane causes the whole ship and its passengers to blow!....although I'd assume that'd be better than actually making the whole trip, but that's aside the point. It doesn't seem like a curse word at all, now does it? I guess it was just crude to say anything related to manure back in those days. Yeah. Who knew methane would take us on that tangent of all things?
Shocking. My English teacher called me a talented writer, WHAT. G-great, now I have to live up to that. :( I have a readable, distinguishable style? That's unheard of. I hope I can live up to it and keep it up and never return to the C streaks of freshman and sophomore English.
School will forever stress me out. Still not happy about my C- in AP Bio (at least my average is still a 94, but if future tests will be that difficult...) and possible Fs from APUSH (I bet I'm going to lose my B+ really, REALLY, fast). I'm going to go play "Mary Had a Little Lamb" on my violin now. :(

Oct. 12th, 2008 10:54 pmClannad....is currently awesome! WHY? Because Sunohara's getting some attention here! Yaaaay~....he gets picked on WAY too much though. He's such a nice guy albeit dumb and annoying, but still, why do they pick on him so? TDT It kinda makes me sad. And I have a thing for siscon characters (I'm not quite sure he fits the criteria yet, but he sure looks it)...not the pairing, the characters. I never thought Clannad would cliffhanger me of all shows, but, eee, Sunoharaaa.
I'm not any happier today if people needed to know. Once it starts, it doesn't stop until summer break.
