Jun. 1st, 2011 11:49 pmRight before I took a nap, I started planning the BotL battle system. Then I dreamed it in action. It's like FFT crossed with the FF ATB system. It's weird. But it looks fun! But holy crap, the AI is going to be SO HARD to code. Time + Placement + "fast enough at making decisions to be challenging" + "please don't eat up the player's RAM" = OHGOD. W-well, the RAM part would be because there'd be too many things to keep track of, including the player's characters... It'd either be totally laggy or computer crashy. None of which is cool.
Yeah. Anyway.
Have a slightly relevant plug.
Love and physics and rotation. Proceed with caution.

AND TOO BAD I'M TRANSCRIBING IT:
A rotation
--one--and these bonds still
hold strong, unbroken. We pull
together, the centripetal force holds us close,
and we continue to spin. Without this force, this dance would
not hold, but with it, we are bid to part, for centrifugal force has come to wrap its intangible hands about our bodies, pulling against us.
Regardless, our dance continues. We orbit each other, resisting the pull of that opposing force.
Then we separate. The twin forces cease to be equal--ah. But how is it possible then that our dance
survives? Past the point of separation, still we cling together. I relive the attraction,
recreate the rotation, both forces intact, and we dance, our bonds recreated from nothing, still unbroken.
Knight used to be the main character of Unbroken Bonds, which has evolved into what is now Centrifugal Force, where Zarenth and Hans are the protagonists. ...Hence the strange weaving of the two titles above. I've grown Knight up a lot from his original concept, and now he's kind of like a retired main character: a hero who's finished his journey, settled down, and is done with living an exciting life.
The lady down there is Shade, someone I haven't drawn in years, but she was, and still is, Knight's love interest.
Except she's dead at the start of CF. |D; But Knight deals with it really well; he's experienced loss before, and he knows how to cope being a post-hero and all. |D Maybe you can tell that I still really like Knight.
And, well, I like this piece.
Dance with me
Perhaps the music has already ended
But it rings in my ears
You linger in my mind
Together dance eternally
To compare, here's Knight's first ever picture:

Do you like how his shirt switched colors there? XDDD I-I was still calling myself Kei back then, wow. XD;; That makes this pic at least eight years old, so it was drawn probably around that time. I've lost the original date since my computer died and I only have the date of when the data was recovered. XD;;; Knight's birthday is lost forever. u.u ...Buuut, estimating from the other oekakis whose dates were saved, he was probably drawn in late March or April 2003... Potentially 2004, because based on my dA gallery, I wasn't very consistent with my signatures (Keyk vs. Kei) . :|; Oh, me. I remember having a dA with Knight, and I remember having UB Open Canvas things in 2004, but skill-wise, he fits 2003? IDK. It's not like my skill-level was consistent throughout the years either.
The text took like four times longer to write than the picture. D|
