I started replaying Ape Escape. And it's all lumina_sumnor's fault! XDD Replaying would be the wrong word, actually, since I forced my brother to play it FOR us back then. *swt swt* Needless to say, I'm hooked. My only complaint so far is, dude, the camera controls s-u-ck, but I got used to it. So, anyway, I just finished defeating the boss at Crumbling Castle, and now I'm on the second to last set of stages (there are three stages per set and I have completed five sets, I think; I have six left before I partially complete the game). I have the RC car and the skyflyer now, so I could probably go catch those apes I couldn't before (although I still need the magic punch...). I finally beat Jake in the stadium, but I still can't beat him in the skyflyer race. TDT Oh, well, at least I have Specter Boxing now. Time to wear out our analog sticks!

Also thanks to lumina_sumnor, I was able to find these storyboard shorts of the upcoming cartoon! I'm actually happy that they're just two minute shorts; I don't know if a fleshed out series would work too well.

Specter Boxing! I remember the bruised thumbs and chafed skin I got from playing that. 8D;
My favorite mini-game is definitely Galaxy Monkey. Have you unlocked it yet?

I also liked a lot of the clips for the cartoon, although I didn't really get the "Ape Date" one. ^^;
And I can't wait to see the "Him Can't Swim" one. XD

There's no such thing as late comments here! Our old PSX controller has such smooth analog sticks from that game, and yeah, chafed thumbs indeed. But it was so much fun! Oooh, Galaxy Monkey! I don't have that yet, unfortunately. I'm having trouble defeating Jake, you see. XD; Was there such thing as an ending to that game? All I know is that we kept getting stuck at the same part (when a chunk of Earth is visible).

Actually, you don't need to beat Jake to unlock Galaxy Monkey, but it'll take a while to find the Specter Coins throughout the levels. If you need help, you can ask me! =D

Yes, there is a second and final ending! Which part are you stuck on exactly? The chunk of Earth I can recall is past the large gates in Specter Land. There's that big crater, and in the middle there is a transportation device leading to Specter's gigantic floating fortress... =O

My sis discovered a shortcut through the second race, but even when I use it, he beats me at the very last second. DD| I know, but darnit, those Specter coins take a while to gather! XD I remember finishing the hot springs stage, and then in the "YYEEESSS!" scene, I saw a Specter coin I missed. *slaps self*

Oh man, that happens to me a couple of times too. 8D I was all like, "Stop standing there Spike and get that Specter Coin right behind you!!" XD

I don't even think there is an ending to Galaxy Monkey. The highest level I've ever been on was around the 60's-70's, and the Earth was still in the background...
