Unfortunately I'm aiming for some pretty big name colleges like the UCLA. I don't really mind, but that test is such a pain in the butt (quite literally).
My final SAT was slightly higher than yours (I took it three times so it might have looked bad) along with a pretty good high school transcript. I got rejected :( But then again, I don't think my application essays were anything close to good.
I'd actually recommend you to take it once more and at least aim for 2000. Given a solid transcript + some extracurriculars + decent application essays, you'll have a pretty good shot at it.
