keykI don't like having guests over because my parents usually end up making fun of me during casual conversations, and I kind of don't want to talk to anyone because of it! Still gotta clean the house for them though (which is fine)! I wish I could look forward to their visit, though, because they're usually nice people, it's just. Haha. The usual. Ok, whatever.
So hey, I did some simple simple design stuff, see:
Seriiioouuusssllyyy. She doesn't really stand out! Which is ok in a way, since you can switch protagonists in-game (risky game design move buuuut!), so it emphasizes their equal status in the game (official ranks notwithstanding). Still: since she's one of the protagonists you can start with, she should stand out more! Eh, I'll tinker with it.
She iiisss the fantasy world's equivalent of a Cossack. As such, she uses a shashka (the blade really is turned upward while sheathed!) and wears very little armor. But I caved and gave her some mail, which is like an extra ten-plus pounds, but she's the general and pretty defenseless, and you kind of want the general/queen to stay alive, so she gives up some speed for defense? idk. I wanted to keep some kind of ethnic look, but it's not very cool looking. :/ She is not supposed to be MANLY though (tough and capable, yes) nor is she fighting for women's rights, so she wears dresses like normal girls. This is one of her simpler less ornate ones. :|b They really like layers over there. Three is hardly enough.
She has other outfits and also an older model (wars and drama usually take years, or in Romeo and Juliet, three days!), and the same goes for most other main characters. Yup.
The smell of chemical-y cleaners and the feel of dust in your throat lining. Eeck, cleaning. DX Website's on hold until I can figure out the problem with my desktop machine. Iiiiiiiiii'm mostly convinced it's the power supply. RAM and CPU have been pretty much ruled out, definitely not a virus, HOPEFULLY not the mobo, and it's not the hard drives either. If all goes well, a simple PSU replacement should fix it up. :> And then I can finally have my website up! For now, it'll be that fixed small size using static tables, but when I get better at coding stuff (like javascript or something), I'll have it adjust according to your window size!
