Man, it's so weird to think that .hack is ending. Bandai wrung that thing to death though, so ending it should be good, I guess. Er, honestly, this game doesn't really impress me from what I've seen. The animation style here doesn't match the in-game style at all. It's like they can't make up their minds on whether this game is light-hearted and cool or dark and serious. Or, they're trying to act like Digimon. Tokio sure looks like a Digimon main character. I've no complaints about either art style. I just wish they stuck to one or the other.
The OP is still fascinating and the song is really pretty though.
I like Kite. His Xth form design is pretty spiffy.
I just like Kite.
He's a heroic hero that's actually cool. Oh, my bias.
Silabus is really cute in this game, too. His Xth form makes me laugh.
I really like Tsukasa's Xth form design, too! But this is probably my I-like-mages-er-wavemasters-I-mean-in-green-robe-ish-clothes coming into play.
So, yeah, the selling points to me are:
-design
-Kite
-...uh. Kite? I-I mean music.
This is old news, but whaaaaatteeevveeerrrr. Hopefully the Link series will be engaging and end .hack with a bang...if they do decide to end it with this. .hack//SIGN was one of my first exposures to anime that wasn't kiddy-anime. And I liked it. :| I'll admit I haven't finished it yet. I WILL. It's really a novel concept, I think. Postmod--I'll stop.
