keykThe more organized I try to do my work, the more uninspired I become. Ex. these stupid prewrite assignments my English teacher gives us. Me? Ooh, ideas. Idea fits here, and here, and here, and, ooh, look, a thesis. But no. THIS? 'K, write your thesis, pick out your concrete detail and quote, make BUBBLES (hate) and fill it in and then make a WEB CHART (even more hate) out of said bubbles. Oh, and don't forget to COLOR CODE (can I stab something now?).
I have a good chunk of the essay all planned out, but this stupid. prewrite. is keeping me from doing ANYTHING. Not to mention my green pen keeps dying and reviving at random intervals. WHY GREEN.
A.P. Bio looks SO MUCH FUN to study for. Tests and grades take the fun out of everything, I swear. Operons, Krebs cycle, glycolysis, taxonomy, organ systems, evolution--I'd love you guys so much more if there weren't grades attached to you, I really, really would. I hope tests will be less dominant in the school system in later decades so I'll have an excuse to go "Back when I was a kid, we used to have TESTS--OH, they were dreadful--all the time" to little children. Aw, shiznits, USC is uppitying its requirements for A.P. Exams: I need a 4 or 5 to get any college credit. I'll just have to hope UCLA doesn't do the same.
And, of course, my nervous system is being as nice to me as always.
