So I did start watching Avatar

So there are good chunks of the Avatar marathon that I have been able to catch after school (now that we have cable on one TV...it feels so weird).
I can't say I'm extremely impressed, but it's decent. It's a LOT better than all of those other cartoons they've been showing as of late. A bit over dramatic, if not REALLY over dramatic, a lot of pointless action, obvious things that just screams "we are not allowed to show THIS *cough*killing people*cough* because we must protect the children", a very weird representation of dogfights using lame-o "fighter planes" *cough*gliders*cough*...IN OTHER WORDS, VERY AMUSING. The humor's not that bad either, especially Sokka. He makes all of it worth watching.
I...do have a problem with the voice acting for some of them. I really wish Toph wasn't so young snotty sounding. She LOOKS cool, but with her proud personality and I-am-able-to-take-care-of-myself-ness, I would think she would sound a BIT more mature. I admit, I laughed out loud when she went "WHAT" in one of the most high-pitched voices ever. And Zuko. I have a high voice that is slightly raspy. His voice...tends to get on my nerves sometimes. He just sounds...so WEAK.
We found T.K.'s voice (from Digimon) as one of the extra old men, and I'm pretty sure Cody's grandpa is another old man that is often re-used. And yes, I am using dub names since I know no better. I'm still watching it because it is still pretty amusing to me. The action scenes could use less choppiness (it's not as bad as GONZO's losing budget near the end of a series though). I do find the "bending" concept somewhat interesting, but the setting is much more interesting to me. I also find ostrich horses, flying bison, moose sabertooth lions (or whatever they are), and turtleducks very amusing. 8D;
I'm not as into it as lots of other people are, but my tastes make no sense, and I'm picky in a strange, strange, way. SO. To me, it's something that amuses me after school. =w=b
