*ahem*
That said, I had a blast yesterday. :) Saw
darkangeldani and
psychofish! The more stressed you are, sometimes these things just make things a whole lot better.
The day after on the other hand...

But I'm really happy to have had yesterday. Hung out at the Getty and saw plants and water and turf andsilly artsy sculptures and men in wigs and hilariously pervy art (artists are such rebels, I LOVE THEM)--it was great, it really was. Thanks so much, you guys!
Then I watched Spirited Away with my sis before we crashed. I'm not entirely fond of Ghibli's newer films, but Laputa and Spirited Away are easily my favorites. After my sis told me a few things her teacher told her about the film and Miyazaki, I went on a silly analyzing spree (in which I sounded like a complete idiot, but, hey, it was fun). I hadn't realized how Industrial Revolution-y it was (although this is Japan, and I'm not that strong on their history...was it Taisho or Meiji era when they started modernizing really rapidly?) before--I've watched this thing over five times by now. I also noticed that Lin actually has a Chinese accent. I knew she was Chinese by her name, but I hadn't noticed how differently she spoke from the rest of them (I admit, Hetalia's overdone Chinese accent helped me here :P).
I'm sorry, I probably won't get to replies today. Gaaah.
