Catcher in the Rye...I really like the book. I just finished it today. In a way, I can kind of relate to Holden. I like the guy, I really do. I don't know how you can like the book without liking Holden, but hey, I'm sure people do. I also relate to those "phonies" too...I do all that phony crap all of the time. XD; It's patheitic. Really, it is. I'm pretty hypocritical too. It makes me think.

And hey, I actually cried during the story. Despite all of his sarcastic comments, I cried. You can make me cry pretty easily. I cry more often when I see someone else crying or when I just think about deressing things. I didn't expect to cry while reading though. I've probably cried gallons already. I couldn't stop crying, I really couldn't. My eyes are still watery from it too. I guess I really am one of those overly sensitive people. When I'm insulted, I don't cry (I find it amusing, somehow), but when I see someone else cry I do. It's weird, come to think of it. It doesn't take much to break me down. Holden and Phoebe. I just like them even when they do act like annoying people. I can't help but like them and relate to them in a way.

If there was a big symbolic thing in this story, I completely missed it.

TotA is coming to the gamestore tomorrow~...only $40 instead of $50!! 8D I'm more excited about it than VP:S or FFXII (even though it's done by the FFT group *sweat*). We preordered it, but there's no preorder bonus. D: A Mieu would've been awesome.

Hehe, I remember reading that book o.o my classmates always made fun of him for all the "phoney" rambling. XD But I think that's a large reason schools make people read it - many teenagers can relate to it.

I don't cry too easily, but some books have done it to me too. Weirdly I actually like it when something like that makes me cry. ^^; I like being emotionally moved like that.

I remember back in 5th grade we read a book called The Cay. I liked it a lot, but I cried so much... XD we had to write a poem on it or something and read it in class, and it was SO hard for me to hold back my tears at that time. I felt so embarrassed about it because most of the students didn't really care. ^^;

It also took me a long time before I could watch that scene in the Lion King without crying. XD I'm sure you know the one.

Strange, I'm the type who easily cries when I'm insulted or see someone going through emotional/physical distress and trying their best to pull through, but I rarely cry when I read, play a video game or watch a movie. Only two anime had managed to make me cry (Digimon and Mythical Detective Loki), and I can't really remember any book that made me cry. Maybe it's because I haven't read any emotional ones? People like Maiki cry at pratically every single game she plays and I don't understand how or why she can be so easily emotional from them. XDDD;

Oooo really? I'll try to check out that book then.. x3

TotA? hehehe... I just wish they'd go ahead and translate Rebirth into English.. TwT; I'm playing that now, and although I can understand bits and pieces of the dialogue I'd prefer to know everything... Oh well. Yay TotA! <3 *dances with Keyk*
